Tournament Chip Dumping
How it works
In tournament poker, two or more colluding players arrange for one player to intentionally lose chips to another. This typically involves the chip dumper making obviously bad calls, folding strong hands, or going all-in with weak holdings against their partner. The goal is to consolidate chips among the colluding group, increasing one player’s chances of reaching the final table or money positions. Unlike cash game chip dumping, tournament dumping is harder to detect because all chips remain in play and are not redeemed for cash: the benefit comes from improved tournament equity.
