The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, the primary gaming regulator of the Macau Special Administrative Region. The DICJ is responsible for supervising and monitoring gaming concessionaires and sub-concessionaires, licensing gaming promoters (junkets), certifying gaming equipment, ensuring AML/CFT compliance, determining breaches of gaming law, and applying penalties. The DICJ reports to and provides guidance to the Chief Executive of Macau. All casino gaming in Macau operates under the DICJ’s oversight, and the bureau has extensive powers to conduct investigations, demand information, and enforce compliance.

In practice

The DICJ was restructured from 2025: three new departments (Investigation, Facility and Information, Law and License), the two existing departments merged into a Gaming Inspection Department, and planned headcount rising from 192 to 459. The bureau was not renamed and DICJ remains its designation.
