Call
Poker
To match the current bet amount to stay in the hand. A player must at least call to continue playing; they may also raise. If a player cannot or chooses not to call, they must fold. Calling is a passive action that does not increase the bet size.
In practice
In limit games, a call must match exactly the current bet amount. In no-limit games, calling an all-in may result in a side pot being created if the all-in amount is less than the current bet.
