Part IV: People & Technology · Casino Personnel & Organizational Hierarchy
Casino Host / Executive Casino Host
Marketing and Player Development
The frontline marketing employee responsible for building and maintaining relationships with premium and VIP casino players to drive incremental visits and increase gaming revenue. Casino Hosts meet and greet players on the floor, resolve service issues, arrange complimentary services (hotel rooms, meals, show tickets, transportation) based on player value, make outbound calls to invite players back, identify and develop new players, and act as the primary liaison between the casino and its most valuable patrons. Executive Hosts typically handle higher-value players and have greater comping authority.
In practice
Casino hosts work on the “player development” side of marketing, focusing on individual relationship management rather than mass marketing. Host compensation often includes performance bonuses tied to the revenue generated by their player portfolio.
