Junket Representative / Junket Agent

An individual working for or affiliated with a junket operator who directly interfaces with VIP players, arranges their casino visits, provides on-property support, and facilitates the exchange of rolling chips. Junket Representatives (known as “Jin-Ke” in Chinese, literally “introducing customer”) build personal relationships with wealthy gamblers, handle chip exchanges, track player turnover, and ensure their clients receive appropriate VIP treatment. They may also be involved in credit collection.

In practice

In Macau, junket representatives must register with the DICJ and undergo background checks. The 2022 reforms significantly restricted their activities, and many have transitioned to roles within casino-operated VIP programs.
