Vault Clerk
Cage / Vault
An employee responsible for the physical security, inventory management, and record-keeping of the casino vault. The Vault Clerk assists the Main Banker with counting and storing cash, chips, and coin; maintains vault access logs; ensures dual-custody protocols are followed; and prepares reports on vault inventory status. The Vault Clerk may also assist with the transfer of funds between the vault and the cage, count room, or gaming floor.
In practice
The vault clerk position is sometimes combined with the Main Banker role at smaller properties.
