1.12 Wynn Macau / Wynn Resorts

Macau — Corporate

Wynn Macau, a subsidiary of Wynn Resorts Limited (founded by Steve Wynn), is one of Macau’s six gaming concessionaires. Wynn Macau opened in September 2006 as the first Las Vegas-style luxury integrated resort in Macau, setting new standards for quality and service. The company operates Wynn Macau on the Macau Peninsula and Wynn Palace on Cotai, which opened in 2016. Wynn was one of three original concessionaire awardees in 2002 and secured a new 10-year concession in December 2022.

In practice

Steve Wynn’s focus on design, luxury, and VIP service established the premium resort model in Macau that competitors were forced to emulate. Wynn Resorts initially entered Macau through a sub-concession purchased from Galaxy.
