Dual-Rate Dealer / Supervisor

Dealers

An employee who functions as both a dealer and a floor supervisor on different days or even within the same shift. When working as a dealer, the dual-rate dealer receives toke-based compensation; when functioning as a supervisor, they receive the higher supervisory wage. Dual-rate positions serve as a training and evaluation mechanism, allowing experienced dealers to develop supervisory skills while the property assesses their readiness for full-time promotion to Floor Supervisor.

In practice

Gaming regulations typically require dual-rate employees to wear the badge corresponding to the position they are currently performing. Once a dual-rate employee moves up to the supervisory role for a shift, they must remain in that position for the entire workday.
