Training Dealer
Dealers
A dealer assigned to train new hires and existing dealers on new games, procedures, and policy changes. The Training Dealer demonstrates proper dealing techniques, explains game rules and payouts, coaches on customer service and game protection, and evaluates trainee progress. Training Dealers may work on live games with trainees shadowing, or conduct dedicated training sessions off the floor.
In practice
Some properties maintain a dedicated dealer training facility; others use experienced dealers in a training capacity while they continue to deal live games.
