Floor Supervisor / Floor Person

Pit and Floor Management

The frontline supervisor responsible for direct oversight of two to eight table games within a pit. The Floor Supervisor ensures dealers follow proper procedures, monitors game pace and accuracy, tracks player ratings for comps, resolves minor disputes, and watches for cheating or advantage play. They dress in business attire (often called “suits” alongside Pit Managers) and serve as the first point of escalation when dealers encounter procedural questions or player issues. The Floor Supervisor reports to the Pit Manager.

In practice

The title “Floor Person” is used interchangeably with “Floor Supervisor” in many jurisdictions. Some properties distinguish between “Floor Supervisor” (more senior) and “Floor Person” (entry-level supervisor). Floor personnel typically rotate between pits during a shift.
