Part III: Business & Regulation · Casino Marketing & Player Management

Inactive Player / Dormant Player

Player Tracking & RatingREPORTED

A player who previously demonstrated regular gaming activity with meaningful ADT but has not visited within the defined active period. Inactive players represent significant reactivation opportunity: they have demonstrated willingness to play at the property and may return with appropriate incentive. Player development teams prioritize reactivation campaigns for recently inactive high-value players. Dormant players are those inactive for extended periods (e.g., 12+ months) who require more aggressive or creative win-back strategies.

In practice

The distinction between “inactive” (recently lapsed) and “dormant” (long-term lapsed) varies by operator but is important for calibrating reactivation investment.
